PT – No âmbito da iniciativa “Exposição das Profissões Antigas da Madeira”, que decorrerá entre os dias 9 e 14 de Novembro de 2023, no emblemático edifício do Mercado dos Lavradores, no último piso, no Espaço dedicado às Feiras e Eventos em parceria com a SocioHabitaFunchal, hoje foi a inauguração que contou com a presença da Sr.ª Diretora de Departamento Economia Turismo e Mercados, Dr.ª Isabel Brazão, o Sr. Chefe de Divisão Turismo Eventos e Protocolo, Dr. Ricardo Araújo, as organizadoras por parte da parceria Socio Habita Funchal, Dr.ª Ana Paula Lino e Dr.ª Dina Freitas.
Esta exposição surge como continuidade do desfile que teve lugar no mesmo local, no passado dia 27 de setembro, no âmbito das comemorações do Dia Mundial do Turismo. Informamos que esta iniciativa municipal está igualmente inserida nas celebrações do dia internacional do Trava-línguas (12 de Novembro), estando algumas expressões associadas às Profissões Antigas presentes na exposição. A informação estará disponível num panfleto com versão bilingue, sendo esta uma aposta na valorização da identidade cultural regional. Durante estes dias, estão programadas visitas guiadas ao Mercado dos Lavradores e à exposição, proporcionando assim ao público um momento didático, pedagógico, cultural, histórico e patrimonial.

EN – As part of the “Exhibition of Madeira’s Ancient Trades” initiative, which will be held between the 9th and 15th of November 2023, in the emblematic Mercado dos Lavradores building, on the top floor, in the Fairs and Events area, in partnership with SocioHabitaFunchal. The exhibition was inaugurated today in the presence of the Director of the Department of Economy, Tourism and Markets, Drª Isabel Brazão, the Head of the Tourism, Events and Protocol Department, Dr. Ricardo Araújo, and the organisers from the SocioHabitaFunchal partnership, Drª Ana Paula Lino and Drª Dina Freitas.
This exhibition follows on from the parade held in the same square on 27 September as part of the World Tourism Day celebrations. We would like to inform you that this municipal initiative is also part of the celebrations of the International Day of the Tongue Twister (12 November), with some expressions related to the old trades being included in the exhibition. The information will be available in a bilingual brochure, which is a commitment to promoting the cultural identity of the region. During these days, there will be guided tours of the Farmers’ Market and the exhibition, offering the public a didactic, educational, cultural, historical and heritage moment.
